The NSA-NYC Mentoring Program

The NSA-NYC mentoring program is part of an ongoing chapter effort to increase our members’ involvement and professionalism. The mentoring will be based around NSA’s competencies: Expertise, Eloquence, Enterprise, and Ethics.

Together mentors and mentees will identify the professional areas in need of the greatest attention. Then working together in person and via the telephone, the mentees receive professional coaching to advance their business practices, fine tune marketing strategies and enhance their professional speaking competencies to the standards set forth by NSA’s national organization. The mentees also have an opportunity to give a 10-minute “spotlight” presentation during the year and attend group meetings.

Ann Fry and Don Gabor are co-chairing the new 2010-2011 Mentoring Program for our chapter and we’re inviting you to consider being a mentee. There is a mentee fee and application process. There are a limited number of mentee slots available.

Please note that this program is NOT targeted for people who have had NO professional speaking experience. However, if you have spoken or conducted seminars, etc. in settings where you were not paid specifically as an independent presenter, you are still eligible.
