A Message from Sonia Satra, 2012-2013 NSA-NYC Chapter President
Welcome to the New York City Chapter of the National Speakers Association, the premiere resource of local experts who speak, train, coach and consult all over the world!
Whether you are a seasoned professional or an emerging speaker we have a program for you. Our monthly meetings are professional events with the highest caliber of presenters offering business insights, trends, skills, and strategies that will help you market and build your professional speaking business. The Meet-ups are more experiential workshops that cover the nuts and bolts of very specific topics. Finally, our Speaker Academy is designed for the beginner speaker who wants to be on the fast track to Professional status.
Our primary goal this year is to provide programs and opportunities for our members to significantly increase income.
First, we want to make NSA-NYC the go-to source for speakers for the New York City business community. In addition to publicizing the chapter we will also organize joint events with meeting planners, speaker bureaus, corporations and associations to create strategic alliances and relationships for potential job opportunities.
Second, we understand that the industry is evolving and it’s now essential to address various business models with multiple streams of income. So, we are actively implementing educational programs and networking opportunities that will meet those needs.
Finally, we will embrace the four core competencies of NSA: Eloquence, Expertise, Enterprise, and Ethics. We are committed to engaging our members and guests with the proven spirit of Cavett whereby helping others does not limit what’s possible but rather enhances the infinite growth potential by creating a larger pie!
